Visitors

Visitors 101 Our most distant cousins have been visiting us for millennia. It is only in relatively recent history since the invention of the camera that their surprisingly friendly visitations have been documented on film. Previously humans relied on written accounts or artistic depictions, some of which we hope to show you should they be released to us soon. However this evidence, when it occasionally surfaces is quickly confiscated or ridiculed and labelled as a hoax, so amazingly these visits remain merely a myth until this day. In dusty boxes hidden in shady museums and secure facilities these pictures are mostly hidden away indefinitely until someone discovers them and is brave enough to leak them onto the internet and into public consciousness. Here is our first batch of pictorial documentation of these visitors throughout the ages. Visitor 047 - c1960s Once upon a fine, hazy afternoon in 1960s England, two brothers named Reginald and Barnaby decided to take their daughters, Lily and Daisy, for a stroll through the countryside. The air was thick with the scent of fresh grass and adventure, a perfect backdrop for a bizarre escapade. As they ambled along the country path, they came upon a most peculiar sight: a floating pink blob, dripping with slime and emitting a faint glow. It hovered in mid-air like a balloon out for a leisurely float, defying all logic and gravitational sensibilities. "Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle!" exclaimed Reginald, scratching his head. "What on earth is that?" Barnaby, ever the curious one, approached the blob cautiously. "Looks like Aunt Mabel's jelly mould escaped the dinner table," he mused. The daughters, Lily and Daisy, giggled and nudged each other. "Can we keep it, Daddy?" Lily asked, her eyes wide with excitement. The blob, sensing it was the centre of attention, wobbled slightly and emitted a soft, melodic hum. "Greetings, Earthlings," it burbled in a voice that sounded like a thousand bubbles popping simultaneously. "I am Morpheus from Proteus." Reginald and Barnaby exchanged bewildered glances. "Well, it talks. That’s something," Barnaby said, trying to maintain his composure. Morpheus continued, "I have travelled across the cosmos in search of the finest puddings. Your planet has the best wobbly desserts in the universe!" Lily and Daisy clapped their hands in delight. "We'll show you all the puddings, Morpheus!" And so, the peculiar quintet made their way back to the village, where they introduced Morpheus to the wonders of English desserts. Morpheus's favourite turned out to be a rather lopsided blancmange, which it declared to be "out of this world." From that day on, the village was never quite the same. Morpheus became a local celebrity, floating around the village square, shape-shifting, sampling treats, and occasionally joining in the cricket matches (though he was terrible at batting… and bowling). And as for Reginald, Barnaby, Lily, and Daisy, they had the most marvellous story to tell—one that always ended with the line: "And that’s how we befriended a floating, pink, slimy shape-shifting blob named Morpheus."
