CIL Series 1 - Waldengrad

Code is Law: The Fall of Waldengrad Is a multimedia collection that will comprise 50 -75 images per series, spanning 8 series in total. Each image becomes the narrator of the cities demise & will be accompanied by a quote as told from the perspective of the survivors as well short extracts from the Book of The White Stag. A soundtrack & sound design pieces will be accompanying each chapter. Story Synopsis Waldengrad - once hailed as the pinnacle of human ingenuity and ambition. It’s architects, known simply as the Managers, envisioned a utopia, a meticulously crafted system designed to nurture the ideal society. To realise this dream, they invested immense resources into building a centralised control grid, a hypnotic technological marvel that organised all information within the city. This grid was to be the beating heart of Waldengrad, overseeing and regulating every facet of human life. Efficiency, obedience, and unwavering adherence to the laws as dictated by the codes formed the bedrock upon which Waldengrad stood. However, soon after it’s inception the mask of utopia began to crack. Rumours spread that the Managers were resorting to questionable methods to maintain their grip on order. Some spoke about a cult of the White Stag and whispers grew of ritual. Slow then quick the disease took hold and as mercurially as Waldengrad had risen it fell. Waldengrad’s fall was witnessed by only a handful of survivors. What follows will be an account in their words of what they witnessed interspersed with the few remaining fragments from The Book of the White Stag - the only thing we think has a direct link to the shadowy figure known only as Comrade.
